In the 16th century, the Spaniards began to separate the trousers stockings from their trousers and began to knit socks by weaving. Englishman Lee, W. In 1598 it was redesigned into a knitting machine that can produce finer stockings. Soon Frenchman Fournier started production of stockings in Lyon. It was not until the middle of the 17th century that cotton socks were produced. After the invention of nylon by DuPont in 1938, the first batch of nylon socks was put on the market in the same year.
